Stevens Nabs AAC Weekly Baseball Award

WALESKA, Ga.- Jack Stevens was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Player of the Week in the eighth edition of the award on Monday. This was the second consecutive week and the fifth different player to win the Player of the Week award from the team.

In three games, Stevens hit .700 from the plate by going 7-10. In the opening game of the three-game series against Truett McConnell University, the Lenoir, N.C., native was 3-5 with a triple and two home runs. One of his home runs was hit in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving TWU a 15-14 walk-off win. Stevens finished with five RBIs. In the doubleheader on Saturday, the senior was 4-5 from the plate and scored five runs, all in the first game while adding an RBI to his weekly total. Stevens had a 1.600 slugging percentage in the three games.

This is the first weekly award for Stevens. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, April 14.
