Women's Soccer Use One Goal to Defeat Union

BARBOURVILLE, Ky.- The women's soccer team only needed one goal to win a road game on Wednesday. The team defeated the Union Commonwealth University Lady Bulldogs 1-0 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).

TWU took eight shots in the first half and one in the 34th minute gave them their one-goal advantage. Samantha Holsenback sent a ball up the field that Krista Eik Hardardottir took control of and sent into the back of the net, giving the Lady Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Laia Roch Font's four saves in the net helped Tennessee Wesleyan hold on to their 1-0 advantage as the team walked off the field with the victory.

The win moved the team's record to 8-1-2 overall and 8-0-1 in the AAC.
