Outdoor Track and Field Sends Four to Nationals

MARION, Ind.- Four student-athletes from the men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Samantha DeGrace and Lisa Schoen from the women's program and KT Buchanan and Armoni Hicks from the men's program will challenge for individual national titles at the championship meet. The meet will take place Wednesday-Friday on Indiana Wesleyan University's campus in Marion, Ind.

DeGrace will compete in both the Women's 100m Hurdles and Women's High Jump. DeGrace qualified for the national meet in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.01. The time not only qualified her for the meet, the freshman also won the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Title in the 100m Hurdles with that time. DeGrace currently holds the 13th-best time in the NAIA. A mark of 1.70m gives DeGrace the 12th-best mark in the Women's High Jump. 

Schoen qualified for the meet in the Women's Discus Throw. A mark of 44.60m earned Schoen the right to compete at the national meet. The freshman hit the mark at the Big Orange Invite.

On the men's side, Buchanan will run both the Men's 100m Dash and Men's 200m Dash, events he finished as the AAC runner-up in. The freshman is currently No. 28 in the 100m Dash with a time of 10.43 and 36th in the 200m Dash with a time of 21.19.

The winner of the AAC Title with a mark of 7.30m, Hicks will compete in the Men's Long Jump. The senior currently ranks 20th in the NAIA.

Men's 200m Dash Prelims (Buchanan)- Wednesday at 5:35 PM ET

Men's Long Jump Finals (Hicks)- Thursday at 2:30 PM ET

Men's 100m Dash Prelims (Buchanan)- Thursday at 3:40 PM ET

Women's 100m Hurdles Prelims (DeGrace)- Thursday at 3:20 PM ET

Women's High Jump Finals (DeGrace)- Friday at 2:00 PM ET

Women's Discus Throw Finals (Schoen)- Friday at 3:00 PM ET
