
Men's Golf Finishes Second at UNOH 2025 Spring Invite
BLUFFTON, Ohio- The men's golf team finished second at the University of Northwestern Ohio 2025 Spring Invite. The team played three rounds at the tournament on Friday and Saturday at Bluffton Golf Club in Bluffton, Ohio. This was the team's final tournament before the conference championship tournament.
Monday:
Through 54 holes, Dalton Sutton found himself in a tie for first place on the individual scoreboard. Scores of 75, 71, and 76 placed Sutton in the tie with a total score of 222. A playoff hole was played to determine the individual winner. Unfortunately, Sutton fell in the playoff hole, finishing second.
A score of 227 after rounds of 78, 74, and 74 placed Owen Kreuger in a tie for ninth place. Josh Loveday (77, 80, 70) and Jacob Parton (78, 80, 69) tied for 11th with a total score of 227 while JT McKenzie finished 19th after shooting 83, 74, 75 for a total of 232. Cody Skipper finished the tournament in 31st place with a 245 score after rounds of 89, 86, and 70.
A total score of 895 helped the team finish in second place. After shooting 308 through the first 18 holes, the team improved their scores in both the second and third rounds, shooting 299 and 288, respectively. The team was five strokes behind first place.
Tennessee Wesleyan will head to Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, Ga., for the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships on April 28-29.
