Jack Bowling Field at Athens Insurance Stadium

Jack Bowling Field at Athens Insurance Stadium is home to the Tennessee Wesleyan University baseball team, the winners of the 2012 and 2019 NAIA Baseball National Champions. The field was renovated during the fall of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 to feature an artificial grass playing surface, new designs in each dugout, and a minor update to the scoreboard. The field is named after Dr. Floyd "Jack" Bowling, the math department chair and Dean of Students for a number of years, and also served as academic dean and acting president. Dr. Bowling threw out the first pitch at the field when the season opened in 1998.   

 

To get to the field, take exit 49 from I-75 NB/SB and follow Highway 30 approximately 3.25 miles, and turn right on North Jackson Street. The baseball field is on the left as you go down the hill. Parking is on the left, or turn left on Coach Dwain Farmer Drive and parking will be on the right.
