Men's Bowling Opens Season at C300 Western Shootout

Indianapolis, Ind.- The men's bowling team competed in the first tournament of the 2023-24 season over the weekend. The schedule took the team to Indianapolis, Ind., to play in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout. The tournament was held on Saturday and Sunday.

After the first day of action, which included six baker games, the Bulldogs were in eighth place with 6,340 pins knocked down. 

On the final day of the tournament, Tennessee Wesleyan added 3,110 pins to their score in in 16 baker games, making their total score 9,450 for the tournament. The team total gave them 12th in the tournament out of 32 team.

Devean Littlejohn earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, posting 1,143 pins to finish fourth overall in a field of 316. Littlejohn has a game average of 236 and had games of 276, 278, 221, 211, 205, and 222.

Up next for the bowling team is the Mid-South Conference Greater Nashville Open on October 28-29. The tournament is set to take place in Smyrna, Tenn.
