(RV) Men's Golf Competes at The Invite at Innisbrook

Palm Harbor, Fla.- The men's golf team, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, was back on the links on Monday. Originally, The Invite at Innisbrook was supposed to be a two-day, 54-hole tournament. Due to the threat of Hurricane Ian in Florida, the decision was made to change the format to a one-day, 36-hole tournament.

After finishing the first round in 66th place with a score of 78, Joe Britton shot 20 spots up the player leaderboard with a score of 74 to finish in a tie for 46th place with a 152 total. Josh Loveday had a similar experience, shooting an 80 in the first round for 81st place and finishing with a 155 by shooting 75 to finish in a tie for 60th place with a total of 155.

Jacob Parton shot two rounds of 80 to total 160 for the tournament and finish in a tie for 83rd. Also tied for 83rd was Bradley Dunkle, who shot 81 and 79 to total 160. Morgan Baldwin finished 92nd overall after carding 82 and 86 for a 168 total.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 317 and 310 for the tournament for a total of 627 strokes. The team's total placed them in 17th place.

Up next for TWU is the Bojangles Intercollegiate on Oct. 8-9. The team hosts the tournament at The Links at Kahite in Vonore, Tenn.
