Men's Golf Completes Bojangles Intercollegiate in 11th Place
Vonore, Tenn.- The men's golf team teed off their next tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The team hosted the Bojangles Intercollegiate at The Links at Kahite in Vonore, Tenn. The tournament was a two-day, three-round tournament.
Saturday:
After the completion of the first two rounds, Jacob Parton led the team with a score of 158 after shooting 77 and 81 to be in a tie for 38th place. Josh Loveday finished the day in a tie for 48th place after rounds of 78 and 84 for a total of 162. A score of 164 (81 and 83) placed Joe Britton in a tie for 55th place.
Two scores of 83 gave Bradley Dunkle a total of 166 and sole possession of 59th place. Logan Oody, playing as an individual, carded scores of 88 and 83 to finish in 65th place with a score of 171 while Forrest Atkins was tied for seventh after shooting 180 (87 and 93).
As a team, the Bulldogs sat in 10th place after shooting two rounds of 325 for a two-round total of 650.
Sunday:
At the end of the third round, Parton shot a 77 for a three-round total of 235, shooting up nine spots to finish in a tie for 29th. Britton moved up eight spots up the player leaderboard after shooting an 80 for a three-round score of 244 to finish tied for 47th. A score of 87 in the third round gave Loveday a two-day total of 249, placing him in 56th place.
Dunkle's score of 89 gave him a total tournament score of 255 for 62nd place. Oody finished the tournament in 67th place after shooting a 92 in the third round for a total score of 263 while Atkins shot a 91 to finish in 72nd place with a total score of 271.
On the team scoreboard, TWU shot a team score of 333 to finish the tournament with a score of 983, finishing in 11th place.
