Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at AAC Fall Preview

Blythewood, S.C.- The men's golf team was back out on the links on Monday and Tuesday. The team competed at the AAC Fall Preview, a tournament held in the fall used to preview the course used for the spring championship tournament. The preview was held at The Windermere Club, a Par 71 course that stretches over 6,658 yards Blythewood, S.C. Third rounds took place at the tournament.

Jacob Parton was the top finisher for the Bulldogs, with rounds of 76, 71, and 78 totaling 225 strokes to finish in a tie for 14th place. A total score of 227 with rounds of 78, 75, and 74 placed Joe Britton in a tied for 23rd place while JT McKenzie (78, 79, 75) and Bradley Dunkle (76, 79, 77) were both tied for 37th place with 232 total strokes. Dodj Watson rounded out the scorers on the team, finishing tied for 62nd with scores of 82, 70, and 80 giving him a three-round total of 241. 

As a team, Tennessee Wesleyan finished in seventh place in the 15-team field. Team scores of 308 and two rounds of 304 gave the team a total of 931 for three rounds. 

The team concludes the fall season with their next tournament, the Bojangles Intercollegiate. The team will serve as the hosts of the tournament on Oct. 23-24 at The Links of Kahite in Vonore, Tenn.
