Men's Golf Erase Strokes at Garn Championship

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The men's golf team was back out on the links on Monday and Tuesday. The team played in the Garn Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Lexington, Ky. The tournament consisted of three rounds.

Joe Britton had the highest finish on the team, totaling 236 strokes with scores of 74, 78, and 84 to finish tied for 15th. A total score of 236 after rounds of 82, 79, and 78 helped Jacob Parton move 14 spots up the scoreboard by the end of the tournament to finish in a tie for 25th.

Josh Loveday moved 15 spots up the scoreboard from the first to the final round, sporting scores of 80, 82, and 78 to total 240 for the tournament and finish in 30th place. JT McKenzie was tied for 83rd after shooting 86, 84, and 89 for a three-round total of 259 while Bradley Dunkle carded a score of 262 after shooting 91, 87, and 84, improving nine spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 88th place. 

As a team, the Bulldogs finished 10th overall in the 21-team field. Team scores of 322, 323, and 324 gave the team a total score of 969.

The team goes back to Lexington, Ky., for their next tournament as they play at the Midway Invitational. The tournament is set for Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9 at Griffin Gate Golf Club.
