(RV) Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 3 Reinhardt

Athens, Tenn.- The men's lacrosse team, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, welcomed another ranked opponent to Athens on Wednesday. This time, it was the No. 3 ranked Reinhardt University Eagles.

Over the first several minutes of the first quarter, the teams exchanged goals with Reinhardt scoring first. Jackson Lollis used a Robert Holekamp assist to break the goose egg on the board. Lollis scored again, this time on a Jaylan Steen assist, to put the game in a tie again at 2-2. The opponents broke the tie, taking a 3-2 lead into the second quarter.

The game changed in the second quarter. The offense of the Bulldogs went cold and was held scoreless. Reinhardt scored five goals in the quarter, giving them an 8-2 advantage at halftime.

Hayden Harmon scored the first goal of the second half, cutting the deficit to five goals. The opponents increased their lead, scoring the next four goals to move ahead 12-3. Lollis and Holekamp assisted each other on back-to-back goals, cutting the lead down to seven goals as the scoreboard read 12-5. Holekamp scored once more in the third quarter on a Jack Driscoll assist, and TWU went into the fourth quarter trailing 14-6.
