Barbourville, Ky.- The men's soccer team, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, was back on the road on Wednesday for an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). The team traveled to take on the Union College Bulldogs, a team undefeated in conference play.

The first goal of the game came one minute into the contest. Zach Blair threw a ball from out of bounds that Lewis Menga headed, and Jonah Lewis completed the sequence with a goal, giving TWU a 1-0 advantage. In the 42nd minute, the lead grew by another goal for the Bulldogs. This time the goal scorer was Wynand Wessels, giving the team a 2-0 advantage to begin the second half.

Early in the second half, Tennessee Wesleyan produced two corner kicks, both taken by Billy Boag. Neither produced a third insurance goal, unfortunately. The game turned in the 73rd minute when Union connected with the net, cutting the Bulldogs' lead in half. The opposing Bulldogs did not score for the remainder of the game, giving TWU the 2-1 road win.

Michael Garrihy finished with five saves in the net.

The win moved the team's record to 3-1-5 overall and 2-1-2 in the AAC.
