Garrihy Takes Home AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- For the third time this season, Michael Garrihy has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The weekly award was announced on Monday. This was the seventh edition of the weekly award.

The senior took home the award based on his play against Columbia International University. The goalkeeper did not allow a goal in the team's 1-0 win and finished the game with five saves. It was the first time this season Columbia International had been shutout in the 2023 season. 

This is the third weekly award for Garrihy. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Oct. 16.
