#22 Men's Soccer Wins Road Finale Against (RV) Reinhardt

Waleska, Ga.- The men's soccer returned to the field for another crucial Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game on Wednesday. It was also the team's final road game of the regular season as the Bulldogs traveled to take on the Reinhardt University Eagles.

Tennessee Wesleyan made the first punch in the game, scoring in the eighth minute. The goal came off the foot of Dave Neijenhuis. Defense took over on both sides for the remaining minutes of the first half. Five shots by the Eagles were defended by the Bulldogs while Reinhardt halted eight more shots by the TWU, keeping the score 1-0 at the halftime break.

Three goals were scored in the second half. Mikkel Leander scored the first of the three goals in the 59th minute, taking a pass from Dylan Connell to make the lead 2-0. Reinhardt was able to sneak a goal into the net in the 80th minute to cut the Bulldogs' lead in half. Tennessee Wesleyan did not have to stress for too long as Logan Haricombe added an insurance goal in the 86th minute on a Cian Gantley assist, giving the Bulldogs a 3-1 win to keep them in contention for the conference regular season title.

TWU took 13 corner kicks in the game compared to one from the Eagles.

The regular season completes for the Bulldogs (9-2-5, 9-0-3 AAC) on Saturday as the team hosts St. Andrews University on Senior Day. The kickoff between the two teams is set for 11:00 a.m.
