Men's Soccer Wins Regular Season Finale Against St. Andrews

LAURINBURG, N.C.- The men's soccer team played their final game of the regular season on Saturday. The team traveled to play the St. Andrews University Knights and walked away with a 2-0 win.

Tennessee Wesleyan broke a scoreless tie in the 37th minute of the game. A goal scored by Robin Vezinhet off a Jake Fisher pass put the Bulldogs up 1-0 with eight minutes left until halftime. The team went into the intermission leading 1-0.

The team blossomed their lead quickly in the second half, scoring five minutes in. With 50:54 on the clock, Grant Barron added an insurance goal for the team, scoring off Logan Haricombe's assist. TWU kept the Knights out of the net, defending 16 total shots, including four saves by Leo Summers in the net.

The win moved the team's record to 7-7-2 overall and 5-6-1 in the AAC. The victory also moved the team into the No. 6 spot in the AAC standing to give them the No. 6 seed in Friday's AAC Tournament game. 

The team will face the No. 3 seed, Bryan College, on the road in Dayton at 7:00 p.m.
