47 Spring Student-Athletes Earn Daktronic NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The 2025 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports was released by the national office. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the fall sports who have excelled academically including baseball, softball, men's and women's track and field, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, and men's and women's tennis. Tennessee Wesleyan had 47 student-athletes across the five sports earn the honor.
Chasset and Alcala Named NAIA Women's Tennis All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The women's tennis team saw two student-athletes earn a spot on the NAIA Women's Tennis All-American Teams. The teams were announced by the national office on Friday. Mercedes Chasset was named to the First Team and Olivia Alcala was named to the Third Team.

MOBILE, Ala.- The women's tennis team upset the No. 5 seed in the 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament on Tuesday. The 12th-seeded Lady Bulldogs beat the William Carey University Lady Crusaders in the second round with a 4-0 sweep.

MOBILE, Ala.- The women's tennis team played their first match of the 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament on Tuesday. The 12th-seeded Lady Bulldogs swept the No. 21 McPherson College Lady Bulldogs 4-0 in the first round to advance in the tournament. The tournament is being played at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., and is being played in a first-to-clinch format, meaning the team to score four points wins the match.

The team was announced as one of the teams earning an at-large bid to the 73rd Annual UTR Sports 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament. The 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Regular Season Champions were one of two teams from the AAC to make the tournament.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The women's tennis team fell a couple of spots in the 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Tennessee Wesleyan was ranked No. 9 in the final edition of the poll after being ranked No. 7 in the previous poll. The poll was released on Wednesday.
