Men's Tennis Ranked No. 2 in Final NAIA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The final poll of the regular season was released by the national office on Wednesday. For the sixth time this season, the men's tennis team was ranked No. 2 in the 2024 NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll. 

The Top 25 was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and Unaffiliated Groupings. 

In the poll, the Bulldogs garnered 329 voting points. The team was 14 points behind the top-ranked team in the poll, Georgia Gwinnett College. The Bulldogs are the highest-ranked team from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).

The winners of the AAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions head into the national tournament with a 19-1 record. The team has six wins over teams ranked or receiving votes in the poll, including the No. 4 team in the poll (University of Northwestern Ohio), the No. 9 team in the poll (Reinhardt University) the No. 10 team in the poll (Xavier University of Louisiana), No. 14 Union Commonwealth University, (RV) University of Pikeville and (RV) SCAD Atlanta. The only loss is against No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett.

The team will find out their seed in the national tournament on Tuesday, April 30.
