Men's Tennis Earn No. 2 Seed in NAIA National Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The bracket for the 2024 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament was released by the national office on Tuesday. The men's tennis received an automatic bid to the national tournament due to winning the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Title. All the team was waiting for was to figure out what their seed was in the tournament and who the other teams in the field were. 

This is the sixth consecutive and eighth time overall the program has appeared in the national tournament.

The bracket revealed the Bulldogs were the No. 2 seed in the 24-team tournament. The field consists of 15 automatic bids and nine at-large teams. As one of the top eight seeds, the team receives a by into the second round. The team's first match will be on Wednesday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m., against the winner of No. 15 Lindsey Wilson College and No. 18 McPherson College.

The team enters the tournament with a 19-1 overall record and a 8-0 record in the AAC.

The at-large bids were determined by the NAIA Tennis National Selection Committee (NSC). The NSC consists of coaches and administrators from around the country. The committee evaluated teams throughout the year on various criteria. 

The national tournament is set for May 14-18 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. The entire bracket can be seen below.
