Women's Golf Finishes Third at TWU Fall Invitational

VONORE, Tenn.- The women's golf team was out of the links for the second time this season on Saturday and Sunday. The team played and hosted the TWU Fall Invitational, a two-round tournament at The Links at Kahite in Vonore, Tenn. 

On the player scoreboard, Cora Mount (81, 79) and Morgan Satterfield (79, 81) finished tied for 11th place in the field, shooting a total of 160 for the two rounds. After carding a score of 80 and 81, Ann Sofie Madsen finished the tournament with a 161 total for 13th place. A total score of 162 after shooting 77 and 85 placed Bevin Harrill in 15th place while Olivia Sargla was 20th with scores of 79 and 88 for a 167 total.

Madison Atchley shot a 91 and 85 for a total of 176, finishing 26th and Cadie Prater played rounds of 99 and 91 for a total of 190 to finish in 32nd place. June Greene (97, 98, 195) finished in 33rd and Carlee McLemore rounded out the team's representatives, placing 35th with a score of 198 after a round of 92 and 106 each.

After finishing the first round in second place after shooting 317. A second-round score of 326 dropped them a spot down to third, giving them a two-round total of 643.

The team will be back on the links on Oct. 17 for a dual match against Roane State Community College. The dual match is going to be played at Springbrook Golf Club in Niota, Tenn.
