Women's Golf Jumps Up to Fifth at Klash in Kentucky

PERRY PARK, Ky.- The women's golf team played in the Klash in Kentucky over the weekend. The two rounds were played at the Perry Park Golf Resort. 

The top finisher for the team was Cora Mount, who finished in a tie for seventh place after shooting a two-round total of 158 with scores of 82 and 76. Round scores of 85 and 81 gave Ann Sofie Madsen a total score of 166 to be tied for 20th place. Morgan Satterfield and Madison Atchley finished one stroke back from each other.

Satterfield was in a tie for 27th place with scores of 87 and 85 for a total of 172. Atchley shot a 93 in the first round but erased 13 strokes in the second with a score of 80 for a 173 total to finish tied for 29th. Olivia Sargla was tied for 34th after shooting 92 in the first round and shooting eight strokes better in the second round with a score of 84 making her two-round total 176. Bevin Harrill was the final Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard, finishing 38th with scores of 91 and 88 for a two-round total of 179.

As a team, TWU shot a 345 in the first round to be in seventh place. The team erased 24 strokes from their score in the second round, shooting 321 to give the team a total of 666, placing them fifth overall.

Up next for the team is the Milligan Spring Invitational on April 1 and 2 at the Johnson City Country Club in Johnson City, Tenn.
