ATHENS, Tenn.- The women's lacrosse team opened the 2024 season on Saturday. The team played their home opener at TWU Athletic Complex and hosted a ranked opponent, the fifth-ranked Life University Lady Running Eagles.
The game did not go the way the Lady Bulldogs had envisioned. The team was not able to find a rhythm on offense, only scoring two goals in the game. Kylie Heinrich scored the first goal of the game for TWU. The second goal of the game came from Kate Buchnan. The game ended with Life winning the game by a final score fo 19-2.
The schedule sends the Lady Bulldogs (0-1) on the road on Wednesday. The team will face Warren Wilson College at 4:00 p.m.
