CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The women's lacrosse team was back on the field for a game on Monday. Except this time, they played on the home field of the Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tenn., against NCAA Division III opponent Alma College.
The game did not get out to the start TWU had hoped. Alma scored the first six goals of the game, putting the Lady Bulldogs in a 6-0 hole after the first quarter. Things grew worse for the team as the opponents scored five more goals to increase their lead to 11 goals. Kaelyn Mays got the team on the board in the second quarter. Camille Crisp, Kate Buchannan, and Olivia Downey scored later on in the game, but the team was not able to overcome the early deficit, falling by a final score of 17-4.
Tennessee Wesleyan (1-3) begins a four-game road trip, beginning with a game in Florida against Webber International on Thursday. The game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
