Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 1 Cumberlands

WALESKA, Ga.- The women's lacrosse team went on the road for a conference game on Wednesday. The schedule saw the team travel to the home of the No. 1 team in the NAIA, the University of the Cumberlands Lady Patriots, for an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match.

Unforunately for the team, they were not able to get off to a good start and were unable to recover from the bad start. The opponents scored the first 14 goals of the game, holding their lead at halftime. Kate Buchanan got the team on the board in the third quarter and Olivia Downey scored a goal for a team in the fourth quarter as the team went on to fall 21-2.

The team's final game of the regular season is on the road for TWU (3-11, 1-4 AAC). The team will travel to face Truett McConnell University on Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m.
