Women's Tennis Drop One Spot in Final NAIA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The women's tennis team was on the move again in the newest national poll released on Wednesday. The poll saw the Lady Bulldogs drop a spot to No. 6 in the 2024 NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25. This was the final edition of the poll released by the national office.

The Top 25 was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and Unaffiliated Groupings.

Tennessee Wesleyan had 290 voting points while moving a spot up the poll. Like it has all been all season, the Lady Bulldogs were the highest-ranked team from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) in the poll.

The AAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions hold a 17-3 overall record as they prepare for the national tournament. The team has wins over five teams ranked or receiving votes in the poll: No. 14 Union Commonwealth University (2), No. 21 Reinhardt University, No. 22 SCAD Atlanta (2), (RV) Ave Maria University, and (RV) Brenau University.

The team awaits their seed in the upcoming NAIA National Tournament, set to be released on Tuesday, April 30.
