Manney Jumps to AAC Weekly Award

Waleska, Ga.- The fourth edition of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards were announced on Monday. For the third time this outdoor season, Paige Manney took home the Field Athlete of the Week award. 

Manney took home the award based on her performance at the Tennessee Invite. At the meet, the Athens, Tenn., native competed in the Triple Jump where, of the 21 competitors in the event Invite, 19 were from NCAA Division I schools and one was from a NCAA Division II school. Manney, the only NAIA athlete competing in the event at the meet, finished second overall ahead of all but one of the NCAA Division I opponents, finishing with a mark of 12.09m. The junior mark an NAIA "A" Standard.

This is the third weekly award for Manney. The next edition of the awards will be announced on Monday, April 17.
