Women's Track and Field Earn Conference Awards

Waleska, Ga.- The year-end awards for women's track and field were announced by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Monday. Since the All-Conference Teams are given out by finish at the conference championship meet, the awards released were the All-Academic Team and Champions of Character Team. 

Lauren Garrison was chosen as the team's representative on the AAC Champions of Character Team. To be named to the Champions of Character Team, a player must exhibit the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership. 

Seizing a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team were Ashlynne Brown, Ashlee Caron, Garrison, Aniecia Goss, Abigail Hampton, Mila Vranikj, and Molly Woodby. To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a 3.25 grade-point average.
