Six From Women's Cross Country Set Personal Bests at AAC Championships
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The women's cross country returned to Sequoyah Park in Knoxville on Friday. This time, the team was running for a conference championship at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships.
Crossing the finish line on the 6k course first for the Lady Bulldogs in a time of 23:32 was Molly Woodby to be in 29th place. Times of 25:20.09 and 25:20.22 made Victoria Verran and Ashlynne Brown finish back-to-back in 44th and 45th place, respectively. Haley Braden placed 60th with a time of 27:51 while Kinsley Hayes was 66th with a time of 28:38. Reagan Goforth (31:23, 74th) and Ashley Ratliff (34:38, 81st) rounded out the TWU runners in the race.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs finished eighth overall with a total score of 194 points.
Braden, Brown, Goforth, Hayes, Verran, and Woodby all set new personal records in the distance.
This was the final cross country event for the season.
