Women's Cross Country Opens Season at Battle of Flint Farms

WALESKA, Ga.- For the first time in the 2024 season, the women's cross country ran at a meet. TWU ran at the Battle at Flint Farms, a meet against Reinhardt University. 

Molly Woodby and Kaelyn Pluta recorded back-to-back finishes for the Lady Bulldogs, running times of 20:10 and 20:37 to finish third and fourth, respectively. A time of 21:45 placed Victoria Verran in seventh while Reagan Goforth (25:16), Kinsley Hayes (25:41) and Chloe Dailey (26:27) were the next three runners to cross for Tennessee Wesleyan. The trio finished 13th, 14th, and 15th. Anna-Lise Kirton was the final runner to complete the race for the team, finishing 17th in a time of 34:58.

The team accumulated 41 points in the standings, finishing second in the team competition. 

Up next for Tennessee Wesleyan is the Covenant College Mountain Stride on Friday, Aug. 30.
