Tarver Named AAC Baseball Player of the Week Award

Waleska, Ga.- Andre Tarver was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Player of the Week on Monday. This was the fifth edition announced by the league office this season.

Tarver took home the award in a week in which he batted .636 while helping the Bulldogs go 2-1 on the week. The outfielder did the majority of his damage in the games against No. 8 Mobile and No. 5 Georgia Gwinnett College. In the game against Mobile, Tarver was 3-4 from the plate, scoring two runs with two doubles to finish with two RBIs. In the contest against Georgia Gwinnett, the Ringgold, Ga., native finished 4-5 with four runs scored, one double, one home run and five RBIs. For the week, Tarver had three doubles, one home run, and seven RBIs, finishing with a 1.182 slugging percentage.

This is the first weekly award for Tarver. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, March 27.
