47 Spring Student-Athletes Earn Daktronic NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The 2025 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports was released by the national office. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the fall sports who have excelled academically including baseball, softball, men's and women's track and field, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, and men's and women's tennis. Tennessee Wesleyan had 47 student-athletes across the five sports earn the honor.

KINGSPORT, Tenn.- A day after winning two elimination games against the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, the softball team played another elimination game on Friday, with a trip to the championship game of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament on the line. Unfortunately, the team's run in the tournament came to an end as the No. 6 seeded Lady Bulldogs fell to No. 7 seed Brenau University 3-0.

KINGSPORT, Tenn.- The softball team entered the day needing to win to stay alive in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament on Thursday. The team was successful, upsetting the top two seeds Bryan College (No. 2) and Reinhardt University (No. 1) in two close games.

KINGSPORT, Tenn.- The softball team won their opening game in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament on Monday.  The 7-6 win against the No. 3 seed Truett McConnell University Lady Bears involved some late-game heroics for the No. 6 seed Tennessee Wesleyan.

Softball Wins Regular Season Finale Against Johnson

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- Weather forced two changes to the schedule of the softball team. The team was forced to change their Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader against the Johnson University Lady Royals to Wednesday and to move the home games to the field of the opponents. Even though the games were played away, Tennessee Wesleyan picked up the sweep as the home team.

ATHENS, Tenn.- The softball team had an exciting day on Friday. Along with it being Senior Day, the Lady Bulldogs swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader against the University of Pikeville Lady Bears with a run-rule win and a walk-off win.

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn.- The softball team was on the road for the final time on Wednesday. The team split their Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader against the Milligan University Buffaloes, winning the first game.

BARBOURVILLE, Ky.- Bailee Phillips threw a no-hitter to help the softball sweep their doubleheader on Monday. The team won the Appalachain Athletic Conference (AAC) games against the Union Commonwealth University Lady Bulldogs 11-5 and 14-0.

ATHENS, Tenn.- The softball team swept the St. Andrews University Lady Knights on Tuesday. Tennessee Wesleyan won both Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) games via the run rule, winning game one 11-0 and game two 12-0, each in five innings.

ATHENS, Tenn.- The softball team split a pair of one-run differences on Wednesday. The team fell in the first game of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader against the Reinhardt University Lady Eagles 3-2 but scored four runs in the seventh inning of the second game to win 8-7.
