The run rule ended the game early in the seventh inning. After getting on base with a walk, Hagen Escoto moved into scoring position on second via a stolen base. Corbin Shaw hit a ball to left field to score Escoto and stood on second after the double. Joining Shaw on base was Cade Bochlter, who got to base via a hit by pitch. Neither was on base much longer as Newman hit a triple to score both runners, ending the game in the process as the Bulldogs took a 13-3 lead in the seventh.
Shaw and Newman both finished the game with three RBIs while Turner and Martinez each had two. Cooper Sain was credited with the pitching win.
