
Four From Baseball Earn NAIA All-American Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The 2025 NAIA Baseball All-America Teams were announced by the national office on Wednesday. The All-American Teams consist of three teams, and the first and second teams are recognized as ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods. Tennessee Wesleyan had four student-athletes earn a spot on one of the three teams.
Daniel Stewart and Kolton Reynolds were both named to the All-American First Teams.
Stewart was named to the First Team in one of the two catcher positions. The senior led the NAIA with 102 hits in 60 games this season. Stewart had the second-best batting average (.436) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) and was second in the conference and tied for 11th in the NAIA in RBIs with 79. The AAC Player of the Year had an on-base percentage of .483 and a slugging percentage of .808. Stewart was ranked eighth and third in the AAC, respectively. The Hazel Green, Ala. native's 20 home runs were third in the AAC. Stewart had a .989 fielding percentage with only four errors in 369 total fielding chances. Stewart was tied for 14th in the NAIA in batting average.
Reynolds nabbed one of the outfielder positions on the First Team. Reynolds appeared in 59 games this season and sent 24 balls flying over the outfield wall, giving him the fifth-most home runs in the NAIA and second-most in the AAC. The Huntsville, Ark. native finished third in the AAC in batting average (.411), RBIs (73), and hits (86). The AAC Newcomer of the Year scored 75 runs during the season, the second most in the AAC. Reynolds had the third-best on-base percentage of .517 in the AAC and led the AAC with a .852 slugging percentage.
Corbin Shaw was named to the Second Team at the infielder position. The senior from Conyers, Ga., led the AAC in home runs (27) and RBIs (84). Shaw was tied for second in the NAIA in both those categories. In 60 appearances, Shaw batted .394 on the season, the eighth best in the AAC, with a .448 on-base percentage and the second-best slugging percentage in the AAC at .840. Shaw scored 57 runs during the season and had the fourth-most hits in the conference with 84. Shaw had a .984 fielding percentage.
Earning a nod on the Third Team at third base was Josh Shelly. The junior led the AAC with 80 runs in 62 games. Shelly finished second in the NAIA with 101 hits and was third in RBIs in the AAC with 70. The Houma, La. native's .406 was fourth in the conference while a slugging percentage of .695 gave him the sixth-best number in the conference. Shelly had a .465 on-base percentage and a .941 fielding percentage.
The ABCA began recognizing All-Americans in 1949 and named the first ABCA NAIA All-America team in 1969. The teams are selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches' Association All-America Committee.
