Bio

Randy Casey was hired in April of 2024 as the head coach of the men's basketball program. 

Before joining TWU, Casey was the head coach of the McMinn County High School boys basketball team. In 2023, Casey guided the Cherokees to the 2023 Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Class AAAA State Boys Basketball Tournament after winning the district regular season and tournament, regional tournament, and substate championships. Prior to his stint at McMinn County High School, Casey served as the athletic director and basketball coach at Wesley Christian School in Allen, Kentucky, the director of basketball at Athens Prep Academy, assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Pikeville, and head basketball coach at Belfry High School in Kentucky.

Casey has amassed 422 total career wins in his coaching career and has achieved many accolades in his career including a two-time TSSAA District and Region AAAA Coach of the Year.
