Men's Golf Finishes Tied for Second at Midway Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky.- After playing in Lexington, Ky., the week before, the men's golf team returned to the city for another tournament on Monday and Tuesday. This time though, they played on a different course when they took the links at Griffin Gate Marriott Resort for the Midway Invitational. 

JT McKenzie had the highest finish on the team in the two-round tournament, totaling 146 strokes with scores of 74 and 72 to finish tied for 5th. A total score of 148 after two rounds of 74 helped Joe Britton finish tied for 14th place.

Scores of 75 and 74 gave Josh Loveday a tournament total of 149 to be tied for 17th place. Jacob Parton carded scores of 83 and 73 to finish with a total of 156, placing him in a tie for 48th place while Bradley Dunkle was in 52nd place after shooting 81 and 77 for a total of 158. 

On the team scoreboard, the Bulldogs ended the first round in sixth place with a score of 304. The team took 11 strokes off their first-round score to shoot 293 in the second round, shooting up the scoreboard into a tie for second place with a two-round total of 597.

The regular season concludes for the Bulldogs at the Battle at the Bay on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will take place at Bear Trace Harrison Bay in Chattanooga, Tenn.
