(RV) Men's Lacrosse Battles Against No. 3 Webber International

BABSON PARK, Fla.- The (RV) men's lacrosse team closed out their time in Florida with another conference game against a ranked opponent on Saturday. This time the team faced the No. 3 ranked Webber International University Warriors in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest.

A close first quarter saw Jackson Lollis score the first goal of the game, giving the Bulldogs the first lead. Webber International matched it a few minutes later. Kennedy Moore moved the lead back into TWU's favor a minute later to make the score 2-1. The first quarter ended with the opponents scoring two goals to take a 3-2 lead.

The second quarter changed the game. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, Webber International took advantage of a cold spell on offense by Tennessee Wesleyan. The opponents scored four goals in the quarter, giving them a 7-2 lead at halftime.

Robert Holekamp got the Bulldogs back on the scoreboard in the third quarter. Carson Bowling followed with a goal, scoring off Holekamp's assist to make the score 9-4 as the team tried to get back into the game. Goals by Lollis and Holekamp ended the third quarter, bringing TWU within striking distance of the lead with the score reading 10-6. 

The momentum did not carry over directly into the fourth quarter for the Bulldogs as Webber International scored the first three goals of the quarter. Hayden Harmon and Lollis scored for Tennessee Wesleyan in the fourth quarter, but the team could not overcome the deficit in fron of them, falling by a final score of 16-8.

Lollis led the team with three goals while Holekamp added two goals. 

The schedule keeps the Bulldogs (1-4, 1-3 AAC) on the road for their next game. The team will travel to to face SCAD Savannah in an AAC contest on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
