
Men's Lacrosse Drops AAC Opener to Point
WEST POINT, Ga.- The men's lacrosse team played their first Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game of the season. The team fell on the road to the Point University Skyhawks 8-6.
A defensive strife saw the opponents score the first two goals of the game. Kyle Gasior got the Bulldogs on the board with a goal with 6:42 left in the first, scoring off a Jack Driscoll assist.
The second quarter followed the same format as the first quarter as Point scored the first two goals to make the score 4-1. The halftime score read 4-2 as Jameson Koch scored with 4:54 left until the break.
Out of the halftime break, the teams exchanged goals. Driscoll scored the first goal for TWU in the second half, moving the score to 5-3. The opponents scored the next two goals though before Kennedy Moore added a goal for the team. The third quarter ended with Point leading 7-4.
Carson Bowling scored the opening goal of the fourth quarter. The team was not able to turn the score in their favor though as the Bulldogs only scored one more time, a goal by Driscoll to make the margin two goals.
Jack Shaw finished with 13 saves in the net.
Tennessee Wesleyan returns home for a non-conference contest against #8 Concordia University Ann Arbor on Sunday. The game is set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
