Men's Lacrosse Conclude Season Against No. 4 Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The men's lacrosse team played for the final time in 2025 on Saturday. TWU traveled to face the No. 4 University of the Cumberlands Patriots in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game. The opponents won the game 14-9.

Hayden Harmon got the Bulldogs on the board, moving the score to 2-1. Harmon scored a second time in the first quarter, bringing the team back within a goal of the lead after a Cumberlands score. The opponents scored the final two goals of the quarter, moving their lead to 5-2.

Tennessee Wesleyan outscored the Patriots in the second quarter. Kennedy Moore scored the first of four goals for the Bulldogs, moving the score to 6-3. Harmon followed with a goal to pull the team within two. Cumberlands stopped the scoring streak by TWU but Harmon ended the half by scoring the final two goals. The two goals resulted in a score of 7-6 in favor of the opponents.

The opponents stole the momentum to open the third quarter by scoring the first four goals. Jack Driscoll broke the scoring drought and Carson Bowling kept the scoring activity going but Cumberlands scored before the end of the third to lead 12-8. 

One more goal went in the net for the Bulldogs. It came off the stick of Driscoll who scored on a Garret Beasly assist, nixing a chance of a comeback from TWU.

In the game, Kyle Gasior won his 900th career faceoff.

TWU finishes the season with a 4-10 overall record.
