Summers Wins Second AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the latest edition of the weekly awards for men's soccer on Monday. Leo Summers took home a second weekly award as he was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

The goalkeeper earned the award based on his play from last week. In three games, the junior registered three shutouts. The first shutout came in a 1-0 win against No. 21 Georgia Gwinnett College. The following two were against AAC opponents Kentucky Christian University and Bluefield University. The Cornwall, England native also had four saves on the week in 270 minutes of action.

This is the second weekly award for Summers. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Sept. 30.
