Men's Tennis Ends Season as NAIA Tournament Semifinalist
MOBILE, Ala.- For the fourth consecutive season, the men's tennis team found themselves in the semifinals in May. Tennessee Wesleyan advanced to the 2024 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament Semifinals, where they faced the No. 3 seed in the field, the Keiser University Seahawks, with a trip to the championship match on the line.
The match got off to a rough start as the opponents won the doubles point to take the first lead of the game. It was a battle though as the No. 1 doubles match went to tiebreaker set to decide a winner.
The tough play between the two opponents continued in the singles. Keiser won two of the first singles matches to finish to move the deficit to 3-0. TWU was on track to tie the match, leading three of the remaining four singles matches. The opponents secured their fourth point before the Bulldogs could get on board, taking the match by a final score of 4-0.
