Men's Tennis Seeded No. 2 in NAIA National Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The men's tennis team earned an automatic bid to the 73rd Annual UTR Sports NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament by winning the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament Title. The team found out their seed and path to the red banner as the bracket for the upcoming national tournament was released on Tuesday. The tournament is set for May 13-17 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. 

The field consists of 24 teams, 13 automatic qualifiers and 11 at-large bids. The at-large bids were determined by the NAIA Tennis National Selection Committee (NSC). The NSC consists of coaches and administrators from around the country. The committee evaluated teams throughout the year on various criteria. 

This is the ninth time overall and the seventh consecutive time that the program has appeared in the national tournament. The Bulldogs are one of 19 programs from the 2024 field making a return.

Tennessee Wesleyan was revealed as the No. 2 seed in the 24-team tournament. As a top-eight seed, the team receives a bye into the second round. The team's first match will be on Wednesday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m., against the winner of No. 15 Dillard College and No. 18 William Woods University.

The team enters the tournament with a 14-2 overall record and has a perfect 8-0 record in the AAC. The Bulldogs were the only team from the AAC to make the tournament.
