
Men's Indoor Track and Field Finish Fourth at AAC Championships; Two Win Individual Titles
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The men's indoor track and field program competed for a conference title on Monday and Tuesday. The team were looking for individual and team titles at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships. The team finished with two conference individual titles and seven podium finishers. The top three finishers in the event earned a spot on the podium.
The 4x800m Relay Team, consisting of Zane Marlow, Jack Headrick, Dani Meisen, and Stephen Kerley, won the event with a time of 8:02.45, 15 seconds faster than the second-place team.
Armoni Hicks won the Long Jump. Hicks hit a mark of 7.00m on his last attempt to jump up to first-place for the title.
Earning spots along with the above-mentioned on the podiums were:
Distance Medley Relay (Caleb Greene, Tyler Bowers, Marlow, Mack Alas): 2nd, 10:49.09
KT Buchanan: 2nd, 60m Dash- 7.01 seconds
Trevor Moonin: 3rd, 60m Dash- 7.03 seconds
Roni Bailey: 3rd, 400m Race- 50.87 seconds
Men's 4x400m Relay (Buchanan, Ke'Andrae Campbell, Bowers, Bailey): 2nd
All the podium finishers were also named All-Conference.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished fourth overall. Along with the aforementioned, the following also earned points in the meet:

Bailey: 200m Dash, 22.87 seconds; 4th
Campbell: 200m Dash, 23.03; 7th
Kerley: 600m Race, 1:26.30; 5th
Bowers: 600m Race, 126.79; 6th
Headrick: 800m Race, 2:04.83; 6th
Braden Huyhn: 800m Race, 2:06.39; 8th
Meisen: 1000m Race, 2:32.34; 6th
Kerley: 1000m Race, 2:35.66; 8th
Dakota Caldwell: 3000m Race Walk, 15:47.63 (National "B" Standard); 5th
Lukas Henson: 60m Hurdles, 10.16 seconds; 7th | High Jump, 1.73m; 8th
Moonin: High Jump, 1.73m; 6th
With the completion of the conference meet, the schedule moves on to the NAIA National Championship Meet. The meet is set for Feb. 27- March 1 in Gainesville, Fla. Campbell and Buchanan both qualified for the meet in the 60m Dash in previous events while Caldwell will compete in the 3000m Race Walk after qualifying at the conference meet.
