Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at AAC Championships

Columbia, S.C.- The men's cross country team competed for a championship on Friday. TWU ran at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships in Columbia, S.C.

Caleb Greene was the first runner to finish for the Bulldogs in the race, completing the course in a time of 26:54 for 32nd place. The next runner for TWU was Mack Alas, who finished in 39th place with a time of 27:35. Payt Bussey was two spots behind in 41st place, running the 8K course in 27:42. The team found themselves with one more runner in the top 50 as Daniel Greene finished in the 48th place with a time of 28:17.

A time of 28:44 gave Zane Marlow 53rd place in the field while Conner Craig finished 64th with a time of 29:57. Jordan Allen rounded out the Bulldogs in the race, finishing in 70th place with a time of 30:44.

Tennessee Wesleyan finished sixth on the team scoreboard with a total of 168. The team had a total time of 2:19:13 and an average of 27:50.

C. Greene's finish earned him a spot on the All-AAC Freshman Team.

Unfortunately for the team, a runner did not qualify for the NAIA National Meet, meaning the end of the cross country season.
