
Men's Cross Country Wins Battle at Flint Farms
WALESKA, Ga.-- The men's cross country team ran their first meet of the 2024 season on Thursday. The team ran at the Battle at Flint Farms against the Reinhardt University Eagles, where the Bulldogs outran the Eagles for a first-place team finish.
TWU had seven of the top ten finishers in the race. Mack Alas had the fastest finish on the team, running the 5000m Race in a time of 15:43 to finish second overall. Caleb Greene (15:55) and Eli Cox (16:12) finished second and third, respectively, while Zanle Marlow was sixth with a time of 16:23. Adrian Nelka-Hernandez was seventh in a time of 16:23 to go along with a ninth place by Conner Craig (16:29) and a 10th place finish by Dani Meisen (16:34).
Stephen Kerley (17:25), Braden Huyhn (18:01), Major Frerichs (19:01), and Randy Barnes (19:06) finished back-to-back-to-back-to-back of each other in 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th.
The Bulldogs had 22 team points to win the meet.
TWU will compete at the end of the month when they run at the Covenant College Mountain Stride on Friday, August 30.
