
Men's Cross Country Run at Southern Showcase
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The men's cross country team were back in action at the Southern Showcase. The meet was hosted by NCAA Division I school Jacksonville State University and featured 47 teams between NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCCA.
In the field of 484 runners, Mack Alas finished 154th with a time of 26:05 in the 8k race. The next runner for the Bulldogs was Caleb Greene finishing the race in a time of 26:36 to place 196th. Eli Cox (20:05) was 226th overall while Adrian Nelka-Hernandez (27:50) and Zane Marlow (28:00) were 292nd and 307th, respectively. A time of 28:03 helped Conner Craig finish 312 and Stephen Kerley was 324th with a time of 28:23. Jack Headrick (28:38, 335) and Dani Meisen (29:00, 357) rounded out the TWU runners in the race.
On the team scoreboard, the Bulldogs finished with a score of 837 to finish in 29th place.
Up next for Tennessee Wesleyan is the Ray Bullock Invitational in Upland, Ind., on Friday, Oct. 11.
