Men's Cross Country Nab AAC Awards
WALESKA, Ga.- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the year-end awards on Thursday for men's cross country. The league office announced the Champions of Character Team and the AAC All-Academic Teams.
Mack Alas was the team's representative on the AAC Champions of Character Team. To be named to the Champions of Character Team, a player must exhibit the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
Nine students were named to the AAC All-Academic Team. Alas, Randy Barnes, Dakota Caldwell, Conner Craig, Major Frerichs, Caleb Greene, Jack Headrick, Stephen Kerley, and Adrian Nelka-Hernandez all earned a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team. To be selected to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be in sophomore in academic standing and maintain a 3.25 grade-point average.
