Women's Bowling Finishes 12th at MSC Cincinnati Classic

Fairfield, Ohio- The women's bowling team was back on the lanes for their second tournament of the fall season on Saturday and Sunday. The team played in the Mid-South Conference Cincinnati Classic, a conference event. The first day of the tournament on Saturday, the individual players bowled five games to go towards the team score. On Sunday, the tournament concluded with four more games for a total of nine rounds.

Saturday:

Through the first five games, the Lady Bulldogs held a team score of 4,133 pins. The team's total placed them in 12th place in the field. The highest round on the first day was a score of 862 in the team's third game.

Individually, Kyleigh Husted had the highest finish on the team, bowling a 922 through the five games to finish in 32nd place. Madison Davis finished the day in 42nd place after bowling 885 in five games while Katie Dorr was 54th with a score of 822. Jaycee Whitaker (771, 66th) and Stormy Wallace (733, 71st) rounded out the TWU bowlers on the first day.

Sunday:

By the conclusion of the tournament, the Lady Bulldogs added 3,434 to their first-round score to give them a two-round total of 7,567. The score left them in 12th place. Their highest score of the day came in the ninth game when the team combined to bowl a 928.

On the player scoreboard, Husted moved up to 24th place, finishing the tournament with 1,666 pins. Davis also moved up the scoreboard, placing 35th with a score of 1,593. A two-day score of 1,544 helped Whitaker move up to 40th place while Dorr finished in 57th place with 1,424 pins. Wallace finished 66th in the field with 1,340 pins after the two rounds.

Up next for Tennessee Wesleyan is the Southern Collegiate Classic in Marietta, Ga. The tournament is set for Nov. 5-6.
