
Women's Bowling Finish Mid-South Conference Regular Season Strong
Louisville, Ky.- The women's bowling team returned to the lanes for the first time in 2023. Over the weekend, the team competed in two different events for the Mid-South Conference (MSC). On Saturday, the team took to the lanes at the Lynne Jordan Memorial while the Lady Bulldogs took part in the Thomas N. Burris Memorial on Sunday. Both events served as MSC events, the final two of the regular season. Each event consisted of five team games and 12 baker games.

After the completion of all five team games and the 12 baker games, TWU totaled 6,377 pins. The total number of pins knocked down placed them in 15th place. The team had three games over 900, with their highest score being 997. The team scored 4,418 pins through the five team games. The team added 1,959 pins to get their tournament total in the 12 baker games. The team's highest baker game was in No. 4 where the team combined for a 237 score.
Kyleigh Husted had the highest individual finish, coming in 25th in the individual field. Husted finished with 971 pins, averaging 194.2 pins. Husted highest score was in game one, a score of 242.
Thomas N. Burris Memorial
A total of 6,141 pins placed Tennessee Wesleyan in 19th place in the tournament. The team gathered 4,120 pins through the five team games. The highest score for the Lady Bulldogs came in the first game where they score 914 pins. TWU added 2,021 in the baker games to get to their total for the tournament. Their score of 213 in the No. 1 baker game was the highest score of the baker games for the Lady Bulldogs.
Husted repeated as the highest individual finisher on the team, coming in 34th with a score of 944. Husted averaged 188.8 through five games with a high score of 214.
Up next for the men's bowling team is the MSC Championships. The team will compete for the conference championship on Feb. 9-11 in Bowling Green, Ky.
