
Women's Golf Finishes Seventh at Season Opener
WEST POINT, Ga.- The women's golf team opened the fall portion of their 2024-25 schedule on Saturday and Sunday at the Skyhawk Fall Invitational. The tournament, played at the Point University Golf Club in West Point, Ga., featured two rounds.
On the individual scoreboard, Maisie Hassall finished second overall with a total score of 152 after rounds of 77 and 75. Madison Atchley had a top 20 finish after shooting 81 and 90 to finish tied for 19th with a total score of 171. Two-round totals of 184 placed Cadie Prater (95, 89) and Ashlynn Guy (94, 90) in a tie for 30th place while Ashlyn Rawlings, who played as an individual, was 44th with a socre of 207 after rounds of 97 and 110. Maylie Stout rounded out the team scoring players for the Lady Bulldogs, finishing with scores of 110 and 101 for a total of 211 and 45th place.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs finished seventh overall. The combined team scores for TWU were 347 and 344, giving the team a two-round total of 691.
Up next for Tennessee Wesleyan is the East Tennessee Collegiate on Sept. 23-24 at the Johnson City Country Club in Johnson City, Tenn.
