Women's Golf Records Sixth-Best Score at FHU Invitational

HENDERSON, Tenn.- The women's golf team played two rounds of golf at the FHU Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament was played at the Chickasaw Golf Club in Henderson, Tenn.

TWU had two golfers finish back-to-back in the top 12 of the player leaderboard. Maisie Hassall was 10th after shooting 84 and 79 for a 163 total score while June Greene had identical rounds of 82 for a total score of 164 and 11th place. A score of 178 after rounds of 86 and 92 placed Cadie Prater in 34th place. Madison Atchley was two spots behind, shooting 89 and 91 for a score of 180 to finish tied for 36th place. Ashlynn Guy (101, 89; 190) and Maylie Stout (95, 97; 192) finished the tournament back-to-back on the leaderboard in 46th and 48th, respectively. Ashlyn Rawlings rounded out the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard, finishing in 53rd with a score of 216 after shooting 110 and 106.

As a team, the Lady Bulldogs finished sixth overall. TWU shot 341 in both rounds, giving the team a two-round total of 682.

The team will conclude the fall portion of their schedule with the AAC Fall Preview on Monday and Tuesday. The preview is being played at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Ga.
