Women's Golf Sits in 12th After First Round of BMCU Spring Classic

STARKVILLE, Miss.- The women's golf team traveled to Mississippi to play in the Blue Mountain Christian University Spring Classic. The three-round tournament was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, with Monday consisting of the first two rounds. The tournament was played at the Mississippi State University Club in Starkville, Miss., and had a Par of 71. 

Through the first 18 holes, Maisie Hassall had a score of 82 to sit in 16th place. A score of 90 placed June Greene and Ashlynn Guy both scored 90 in the first round while Maylie Stout shot a 97. Cadie Prater shot 98 in the first round. As a team, the Lady Bulldogs finished with a score of 359 to be in 12th place on the team scoreboard.

After the completion of 36 holes, Hassall finished 20th on the individual scoreboard after scoring 84 in the second round for a total of 176. Greene was tied for 54th, totaling 183 after shooting 93 in the second round. A few spots back was Guy, who shot 96 in the second round to total 186 for the 36 holes. A total score of 189 after a round of 91 placed Prater in 62nd while Stout was in 64th after shooting 108 in the second round for a 205 total. TWU remained in 12th after the second round, shooting 364 for a total of 723 through two rounds.
